In 2022, the company introduced Adobe Firefly, a line of advanced AI tools that are now present in many of the company’s solutions. Seasoned users also remember earlier AI tools such as Neural Filters and the Adobe Sensei line. Although the real generative AI boom happened in 2023, Adobe has been actively implementing it for over 8 years! Both new and old tools can come in handy today. Adobe Firefly in Photoshop is a set of state-of-the-art tools for generating context aware picture regions, as well as for detecting and manipulating objects on the image.
Generative Fill
Highlight space on the image, enter a text prompt and complement the image, or create a picture from scratch. With generative fill, the creative possibilities become limitless for everyone.
Generative Expand
Add space to any photo with Generative Expand, optionally adding a text prompt. This tool is very useful when it is necessary to adjust the image to a certain aspect ratio without losing information. Generative Expand replaced the weaker algorithmic tool Content-aware Fill from the Adobe Sensei line.
