At HPE Discover Las Vegas 2025, HPE announced a transformational vision for radically simplified hybrid IT operations with GreenLake Intelligence, a new agent-based AI platform for hybrid operations. Through unified deployment of agent-based AIOps across nearly every layer of infrastructure, HPE is evolving the GreenLake cloud into an agent-based hybrid cloud.

Business is entering a new AI-driven era. Every organization wants to innovate faster, but most are constrained by legacy infrastructure and the complexity of managing sprawling hybrid environments. The convergence of AIOps and agent-based AI enables organizations to overcome these legacy issues and transform their operations and enterprises.

“HPE is reimagining hybrid IT infrastructure in a way only we can — catapulting organizations from the era of hybrid complexity into the era of agent-based AI cloud operations,” said Antonio Neri, President and CEO of HPE. “HPE’s new vision for hybrid IT is fueled by agent-based intelligence at every level, empowering enterprises to realize their boldest ambitions and achieve previously unattainable levels of IT performance and efficiency.”

HPE redefines simplicity in hybrid IT with agent-based AIOps powered by GreenLake Intelligence

The new GreenLake Intelligence agent-based AI framework offers a unified hybrid CloudOps model powered by agent-based AIOps. Built from the ground up and deeply integrated into HPE’s hybrid cloud technology stack, GreenLake Intelligence addresses issues of siloed and manual workflows, eliminates delays and underutilized IT resources, and reduces the burden on overstretched IT teams. Accessible via GreenLake Copilot, GreenLake Intelligence will deploy AI agents that interact and analyze context in real time across storage, networking, compute, and virtualization, as well as cost management, observability, sustainability, and hybrid cloud business services.

HPE Aruba Networking transforms AI-driven network operations with new agent-based network and network copilot

Built on the GreenLake Intelligence framework, HPE introduces a new agent-based network technology into its HPE Aruba Networking Central cloud-based network management system. With a new conversational multimodal network copilot, HPE Aruba Networking Central can deliver precise root cause analysis and guided or automated resolution of complex networking and security issues. HPE’s latest networking innovation is powered by a set of network-specific reasoning agents using models tuned for security context in AI-driven networks.

HPE OpsRamp software expands the operational copilot with agent-based AIOps

Launched in 2024, the OpsRamp operational copilot now enables agent-based automation of IT operations across full-scale infrastructure for faster detection and resolution. Keeping human oversight in the loop, OpsRamp delivers key agent-based capabilities, including text-based guidance and an agent-powered command center for AI/ML-based alerts, incident management, and root cause assistance. With GreenLake Intelligence, the OpsRamp operational copilot becomes a multi-domain agent system offering root cause analysis, explanations, capacity planning, and more — coordinating compute, network, storage, virtualization, and other software layers.

HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 offers AI-based agent storage with future Model Context Protocol (MCP) support

At HPE Discover Las Vegas 2025, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers were also showcased, built into the X10000, demonstrating AI-based agent storage. By connecting GreenLake Intelligence to the X10000 via MCP servers, HPE enables developers and administrators to orchestrate data and operations management through GreenLake Copilot or natural language interfaces. Furthermore, connecting the X10000’s embedded data analytics layer to internal and external AI agents ensures AI-driven workflows can access unstructured and metadata-based analytics data.

New GreenLake cloud capabilities powered by agent-based AI

HPE is enhancing GreenLake cloud services for FinOps and Sustainability, and adding new capabilities for workload planning and capacity management. These services will be integrated into GreenLake Intelligence.

  • New workload and capacity optimizer offers a single solution for managing workloads and hardware assets to achieve optimal performance, resilience, and sustainability, covering compute, storage, and networking technologies from HPE, virtual machines, and third-party multivendor IT infrastructure.
  • Consumption analytics has been expanded to help enterprises gain even more control over spending. New features provide proactive cost anomaly alerts, FinOps Open Cost and Usage Specification (FOCUS) exports for potential chargebacks, and infrastructure change recommendations for cost savings, including rightsizing and decommissioning virtual machines.
  • HPE Sustainability Insight Center now offers sustainability forecasting and a “managed service provider” mode, which includes customized sustainability metrics to monitor and reduce the carbon footprint associated with equipment.

HPE provides a fast path to unified hybrid cloud operations with HPE CloudOps software

HPE simplifies the creation of a unified hybrid cloud operating model with the new HPE CloudOps software suite, combining OpsRamp, HPE Morpheus Enterprise Software, and HPE Zerto Software. Available individually or as a bundle, these applications offer automation, orchestration, management, data mobility, data protection, and cyber resilience across multivendor, multicloud, and multiworkload infrastructure.

HPE Services now offers enhanced services to accelerate CloudOps adoption. HPE’s services portfolio spans the entire customer lifecycle — from consulting to planning, implementation, and operation. Additionally, CloudOps is available as a managed service from HPE. Combined with comprehensive professional services designed to simplify cloud operations technology adoption, customers can seamlessly optimize resources across multiple cloud providers.

New tools and programs enable a strategic, optimized approach to hybrid IT modernization

The new HPE CloudPhysics Plus assessment tool offers a comprehensive approach to hybrid IT modernization through automated analysis and recommendations for workload placement, asset utilization, and infrastructure modernization. Based on CloudPhysics’ virtualization analytics, CloudPhysics Plus now expands to multiple execution environments including on-premises, multicloud, and cloud-native, supporting Hyper-V, Bare Metal, Kubernetes, and public cloud platforms. The new assessment tool is available with a free evaluation through HPE partners.

GreenLake is launching the new HPE Cloud Commit program, a flexible purchasing model that allows GreenLake customers to commit to long-term, predictable investments and receive discounts, additional services, and software.

HPE Financial Services simplifies hybrid modernization with flexible financing.
HPE Financial Services (HPEFS) supports businesses from day one with a new zero-percent financing program for CloudOps as well as standalone Morpheus, OpsRamp, and Zerto software — allowing customers to spread costs annually over the license term for up to 3 years with no extra fees. HPEFS also introduces a new financing program for the HPE Alletra Storage portfolio — including the HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 — offering savings of up to 10 percent versus traditional purchases and no payments for the first two months. HPEFS also provides a broad range of financial and IT lifecycle services to help accelerate hybrid modernization with HPE GreenLake and sustainable asset retirement services.
