Endpoint Management SOTI for Planeta Kino cinema chain
Planeta Kino is a cinema chain in Ukraine with 11 cinemas across 6 cities (Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Sumy), together hosting 80 screens. Planeta Kino has 5 IMAX theaters (one of them IMAX with Laser), 5 4DX theaters, and 4 RE’LUX cinema restaurants (a total of 15 halls across 4 cinemas: Blockbuster and River Mall in Kyiv, Planeta Kino on Tairova in Odesa, and Leoland in Lviv).
They were the first to bring Canadian IMAX technology to Ukraine and are also the exclusive representative of 4DX technology.
They created their own cinema technologies CINETECH+ and RE‘LUX.
REQUEST:
Planeta Kino required a system for remote management and support of devices used across the organization for ticket scanning and work communication.
RESULT:
After successfully testing the SOTI MobiControl solution together with Wise IT, Planeta Kino gained the ability to centrally manage, secure, monitor, and support its entire fleet of corporate mobile devices, regardless of type, operating system, or location. Starting with one cinema, the company plans to expand the system across the entire chain.
Business Challenge
Planeta Kino faced the task of upgrading its device management and remote control system used for customer service. The main issue was the lack of a centralized approach to deploying and updating applications, as well as the need for centralized messaging. The company needed to ensure efficient and fast deployment of new software and support for its devices, which are critical to the uninterrupted operation of the cinemas.
Solution
Wise IT specialists, in cooperation with vendor SOTI, proposed the SOTI MobiControl solution for efficient mobile device management. To confirm functionality and compliance with client needs, a pilot project was conducted. Over the course of a month, the full functionality of the solution was tested. Wise IT provided complete technical support to the client both during the pilot and after the successful implementation of the system.
Result
Testing of the SOTI MobiControl solution during the pilot project was successful, confirming its compliance with client requirements.
As a result of the project, Planeta Kino received a comprehensive solution that enabled efficient device management, reduced the time required to resolve employee issues, and provided a solution that is easily scalable across the entire cinema chain.
